the New Year welcomed on my street 2014
Sunday savvy...
now bird songs reiterate
newness
--gillena cox
A year 19 days old; the lights, the sparkles, the baubles, all put away. The bird songs reiterate newness for us now, the fire crackers are hushed into the next new year to come. Yet another tradition settles into play, the resolutions. Have you made any?
These three caught my fancy for 2014
“Write it on your heart that every day is the best day in the year.”
— Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Year’s end is neither an end nor a beginning but a going on, with all the wisdom that experience can instill in us. Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”
— Oprah Winfrey
“Come, gentlemen, I hope we shall drink down all unkindness.”
— William Shakespeare
