"ginko - a walk for haiku inspiration"
hibiscus buds, photo taken Nov 24, 2015
I grew up in Chaguanas. On the street where we lived, there was the school which i attended, at pre-primary school level. The headmaster of the school lived right next door. We had a lovely flower garden with a green shrubbery fencing. Just opposite, however, from a neighbour's fence would burst, beautiful red blossoms, from time to time. It was delightful standing with my dog Shane, just looking across the street. We didn't have a front gate nor back gate. In those days the community was extremely rural and cordial.

Love the spot of red! :)
I love when something as simple as a plant or flower can trigger a fond memory.
Such a nice contribution this week. Love your addition of the words to share your memories with us. I, too, like that one little pop of red. It really catches your eye.
