Ah, nobody likes a hospital visit, but at least your haiku captures the essence of such a visit.

I can hear the footsteps on the squeaky clean floors.

Hospitals can be eerily quiet and squeaking shoes on linoleum floors can sound as loud as fireworks!

depending on who I visit, those squeaky floors could be an ominous sign.

My mom has been in and out of the hospital, so I know about those arrows that help navigate you though the clean floors. I am glad she doing well and resting.

My husband's been ill. Spent about 2 months in hospital. Until I read your poem, I hadn't focused on the gratitude I feel for them.
Glad your mother-in-law is doing well.

Glad things are going well.

If you want a little more action, you might try "following the arrows" for line 2, but action isn't everything.
