clouds emptied of rain -
the radiance of Poui
in its aftermath

coolness of the night -
to quiet sliver of light
upward gaze to moon

  3. For all the sadness of rain it keeps us alive just as the sun does. Only we can change if we have a mind to.

  15. When the clouds empty themselves of rain, so many things change, sometimes for the worse, but often for the better.

  21. The graceful - almost ethereal - feeling of these haiku, read beautifully together. The first one sent me off goggling images of poui - a stunning tree. Lovely writing, Gillena.
