Cinderella Syndrome 5
original image from...
a rooster crows again and again
and again into the silence
--gillena cox
Her stepsisters took her dresses away from her and made her wear an old gray skirt. "That is good enough for you!" they said, making fun of her and leading her into the kitchen. Then the poor child had to do the most difficult work. Cinderella... had to get up before sunrise, carry water, make the fire, cook, and wash...[Germany; Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm]
continuing the Cinderella Syndrome or What every girl should have; well!!! at least once in her lifetime, anyways...in haiku/haibun style throughout the month of August; e-mail me or

change is good, even though its reluctantly appreciated in most cases; because we are suspiscious of the future; but there's also the thought which carries much wisdom 'if it aint broke, why fix it'

a piece of wisdom, is a wisdom...lets not break it, i would say - change is just a state of mind; as its a state of matter - relieve yourself and look at things once again - nothing has ever really changed, at the most conserved :)

devika
change i agree applies both to the tangible as well as the intangible;
ReplyDeletebut there is change;
even if it applies in degrees over periods of time, and the history of its alteration may reiterate, forming patterns in seasons or eras
but change is a factor of life's dynamics
as well, there are constants in existence
:)

Not one to debate Gillena...change is like a part of the process of conservation of mass and energy...some are tangible like the physical nature of things over time --
ReplyDeleteits a vast topic depending on the premise of the discussion, yet we can say "change" is there -- when it comes to social dynamics, yet....if one needs to debate, there's scope :)
actually I've left all those aspects that call for a debate...accept things are they are, and then find a space for my own self, without disturbing another is my way -- though when we stand to clarify things, its often mistaken -- sometimes I don;t mind, sometimes feel the need to :)

devika
it did veer from 'feathers' into a debate status, but i guess dialogue has that rich searing quality

hey, i only thought its all part of the format called "friendship" and "same feather"....i definitely like the exchanges; but i just thought when i would respond back it would be taken as a debate, thats why my bail :)
