Ofcourse...it doesn't mean that a poet needs to write to please the readers- it could be to cause thought and to poke at the comfortable places readers position themselves -- and to that effect the haiga is effective; my uneasiness is not a matter, me being a writer too :)
worms are queasy, i agree Dev; but the birds love them;
Lorraine i saw a mocking swoop down with a bird in its beak, then another swooped down squarking loudly with its beak wide open and wouldn't let up until the first one shared; it was the first time i saw something like that

you might have sensed, Gillena - 'worms' in poetry make me a little uneasy -- but then that's natural life, and poetry could arise from there :)
