My first time here. Yes, November is in complete control. A lot happens where I live in November. When October, and even September, bring the colorful trees from green to Autumn golds, oranges, yellows and reds, November strips away the leaves. Temperature drop, the landscape turns white, The Sacred Earth Mother transforms into another being. You managed to say all that in a few very sweet lines. Very nice indeed.
Good morning Gillena. This November 1st morning, I had nothing on my mind but Mass and quiet and thoughts of the making of a new future. Christmas seems so far away yet the signs of it are everywhere.
I can't quite wrap my head around the fact that it is November 1st. But your haiku brings it home to me in many ways... Enjoy this time, I think you will!
