Moon Fest

just a curve -
what's there to smile about
weekend moon

the crowd from the bar spills out to the pavement

weekend moon -
church goers and fun sayers
share the same beat

  8. I like the thought that church goers and fun sayers share the same beat. So very true, I think. And I would think when the crowd from the bar spills onto the pavement the moon sees that as well. Smiles.

  35. The moon is a commonality all people share. We can be in different places, and look into the night sky and see the same moon, it’s true. What I love about your poem is the way you’ve captured people in the same place, in different places – from bars to church. Very clever, Gillena.
