...According to the "Anxi" theory, oolong tea had its origin in the Anxi oolong tea plant, which was discovered by a man named Sulong, Wulong, or Wuliang.

Another tale tells of a man named Wu Liang (later corrupted to Wu Long, or Oolong) who discovered oolong tea by accident when he was distracted by a deer after a hard day's tea-picking, and by the time he remembered to return to the tea it had already started to oxidize.

Soho London -
catching my fancy a bamboo
box of oolong

a small bamboo box
in a dimly lit store
one grey August day

grey days of August -
eventually sunshine
ah that Beatles song

song of museums
art and must have chinese tea -
vacation memoirs

  11. for today's piece i started with a blank document, tried dirrerent colours, then chose the background colour and filled it. Then did cut outs and used different filters, to distort the shapes, in the final 3 takes i used an effect called 'magic mirror' for the final result

  20. I like the way you linked each stanza to the next with a crafty use of repetition. I'm sure I would not be able to resist a bamboo box of Oolong tea in a quaint English shop either.

  50. I like reading of things people have discovered. I hadn't heard of the oolongs or the like. Google will help me. Of course I liked and still do the Beatles.

Doesn't everyone? Being from the U.K. and settling London I imagine they've drunk a lot of tea. BTW, Ringo Star is coming to Houston soon to do a concert.
