Recuerda Mi Corazon Haiku My Heart 'tree stump'
The remaining stump.. Is so important too.. Lots of life depends on dead wood
ReplyDeleteAnd even we may feed the worms. Not much is wasted on earth except time.
ReplyDeleteI feel for that remaining tree stump ~
ReplyDeleteremnants of that sentinel....
ReplyDeletewhat a view he had eh?
makes me wonder what cut him down...
Seeing a tree stump often makes me sad. I think of a life ended too soon & in a violent way. I think of all that was lost.
ReplyDeletetrees attract rain laden clouds... in their absence the clouds will drift away...
ReplyDeleteEven the old stump sees things that many humans miss!

fitting haiku for the residual stump.
ReplyDeleteThe stump reminds me of "The Giving Tree' by Shel Silverstein. It is still giving- providing a seat for those who need one. That's a mighty big shadow it has.
ReplyDeleteI love old stumps. They are such a good place to rest.
