A haiku haiga dialogue, enhancing the simple talent of appreciation...
A colleague of mine gave me some old textbooks she had, they were covered in blue paper. My own were covered in some kind of plastic material. I love the smell of new supplies.
There really is something special about a new copy book, isn't there? Always nice to have a fresh beginning.

__I remember wrapping my 'new' study books in the remains of old paper bags! The smell of chalk, 2X + 16 = 22 ?2 + X + 16 = 22 ?X = 6 ?2X3 = 6 ? Smiles, Gillena! _m
Wonderful little capture of part of the opening of school. I had nearly forgotten about always spending the first day of school covering our books.
Our copy books were covered in navy blue paper that smelt just like brown paper. Beautifully simple and evocative, Gillena!
