scattered shards
she is able with her gaze
to splinter glass

splendor of sunshine
trapped in her secular whirl
her skin glows

the gathering
harvest of mangoes
after a strong breeze

beat of the season
rattle of unopened gifts
tis plain to see

  13. At least the cucumbers will do you no harm and there is some comfort in that. Let's hope you can get rid of the flu well before Christmas. How I remember the rattle of unopened gifts by my own children.

Really like your verses, but the touch of mangoes was unexpected, thus wonderful. Hope all will be well...
