I am one of those unnatural people who can;t get too excited about sport. But I like your tip about the cucumbers! LOL (No, I must admit I am pleased about the Aussie swimming results so far. And the bronze in archery.)
ReplyDeleteAh, the crunch of cucumbers! What a delightful thing to do as one watches these games!
ReplyDeletecucumbers are so associated with our hot hot summer...such coolness...
ReplyDeleteMuch better than beer and potato chips, for sure. I have a few in my refrigerator right now. But I, unlike Rosemary, don't even know who's doing what. (Except for the people protesting outside, that is.)
ReplyDeleteNothing like cucumber to cool ourselves off during the Summer :D
ReplyDeleteI watched some of the swimming yesterday cool as the crunching of cucumbers.
ReplyDeleteLooks like we'll have to keep up our endurance levels for these Olympics!
ReplyDeleteYour day is set in front of you in dish and screen...bkm
ReplyDeleteThere you are Gillena.. It was exactly what I've been doing - you capture the moment here, for sure with a truly inspired and sparkly haiku... With Best Wishes Scott

Mix some thinly sliced cucumbers in plain yogurt--it's refreshingly delicious! (Add fresh chopped mint, too, and it's even better.) Happy Olympics watching!

I would rather machete an entire banana plantation than watch the olympic games:) Although if I were forced to watch it I would be crunching ice laced with vodka rather than cucumbers.LOL
