Went to visit my mother in law at hospital yesterday. She had knee surgery, is resting comfortably, and in good spirits.

Hospitals can be eerily quiet and squeaking shoes on linoleum floors can sound as loud as fireworks!

My husband's been ill. Spent about 2 months in hospital. Until I read your poem, I hadn't focused on the gratitude I feel for them.
