from yesterday's rain
the mountains' sport of lush greens -
far away dreams enfold

✿ܓ

a riot of colour
departs eventually -
falling leaves

✿ܓ

the rain has ceased -
dart of a kingfisher
in lieu of rainbows

✿ܓ

anxious upturned faces -
a spot of day darkness
awaiting

✿ܓ

as fishers as friends
out to sea in a boat -
cormorant fishing

✿ܓ

circle of brighness
in the coolness of night -
beautiful moon

✿ܓ

white butterfly -
on the other side of the street
distance spins its tale

  1. Absolutely beautiful, Gillena! I especially love:
    'the rain has ceased -
    dart of a kingfisher
    in lieu of rainbows'.

  10. Oh my, Gellena, these are all so beautiful, vivid...each one "shows" a story. I truly enjoyed reading each one...kingfisher in lieu of a rainbow..."wow", I cannot choose as they all moved me, especially that butterfly from a distance. Blessingsxx
