at night while reading -
quietly an ant scurries
across words printed

across the page it hurries
how much wisdom can
this ant acquire

I started last week with itchy eyes and by Tuesday I had to go to the doctor, by Thursday my eyes were clear and comfortable, but still a bit puffy, i'm still on prescribed meds.
No fun at all.
So how was your week, better than mine i hope?

  6. It is nice to picture that small creature on its travels. It likely lost its path and wondered what strange manner of landscape it was crossing. Smiles.

  13. Fun to think of the ant acquiring wisdom by scurrying across the words! For yourself, perhaps you should rest your eyes awhile? Mine need regular replacement tears in the form of drops or spray, because they get dry from watching screens so much of very day.

  15. So sorry to hear you weren't feeling well. This reminded me of how strong ants are, I think I heard they can carry up to 50 times their weight. That is quite remarkable for such a small creature.
