We were the very first set of entrants. It was the same year our country's independence was declared. We got pencils and candy and little red-white-and-black flags.
"Do you remember the rose garden used to be there?" "Yes, I remember the orangish-yellow one i planted; just like the sky over there." "I planted one also" he said, his smile still shy, in a much much older face.
