John those are two Scarlet Ibis[es] The Scarlet Ibis is one of our national birds and it is on our Coat of Arms. Oh I must edit though to add the image is not mine I choose it in google images

I hope you had a good holiday. I loved seeing the red ibis. I had no idea that they had red feathers, I've only seen them as white! So thank you for this! And I too love the movement and stability in your haiku.
