Music for your Sunday enjoyment
"FDR in Trinidad" (also known as "Roosevelt in Trinidad") is a calypso song written by Fritz McLean and popularized by Atilla the Hun (Raymond Quevedo) to commemorate U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's 1936 trip to Trinidad

  1. Oh, I love it that a single fallen leaf can help color the evening! Wonderful haiku, Gillena! A blessed Sunday to you.

  5. Lots of brown leaves this time of year. How quickly they turn from green to orange to brown. A metaphor for life, I think.

  6. Grand as always Gillena.
__ Looking ~back~ in time, season's changes are that thin line, and a colored leaf as it falls, speaks of the new green that waits. This is just my feeling here. _m

  7. Oh, the leaf coloring the evening in this manner is delightful — the tones and the shades make it quite a picturesque image. Also, I really liked how the illustration is colorless, letting us fill in it what we see through your words.

  26. What I like about your Lunch Break posts is their sweet brevity which have such depth and delightful feeling for the reader. Seasons change whatever reminding us that something greater than our understanding oversees us all.
