I like what this poem has to say about the so-called empty looking spaces, and the beautiful counterpoint they can offer.
ReplyDeleteThis poem transports me to an old church when i was young, sunlight streaming in.
ReplyDeleteI love that the chapel is filled with sunlight.
ReplyDeleteI think there should always be some seats left for the sunshine.
ReplyDeleteAh, but those empty seats are being filled by sunlight!
ReplyDeleteI want to send this to my parents--it's a beautiful reminder of the presences we see as absence but feel nearby.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!❤️ I love how the chapel is filled with sunlight (and perhaps whispering angels) Happy Sunday, Gillena!
ReplyDeleteA lovely poem, Gillena.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the sun taking the seats -- or Jesus.
ReplyDeleteLove sunlight peeping through!

perhaps in the gathering light we leave our chapel seats empty to seek a spiritual awakening outdoors in a cathedral of sunlight!!!
