sated of daytime
a golden glow of evening
hides a tired sun
birds tend to roost
the high branches of evening
beneath greying sky
eventide
where will the lioness meet
with her mate

You create such a vivid morning & evening balanced between these two poems! I'm just going to sit back and imagine plumeria blooms on the patio instead of the spiderweb I actually walked into this morning (the spider moved further from yesterday's rain, to the surprise of both of us).

Sometimes, I think, we experience God's faithfulness in simple acts like sweeping litter from the sidewalk. A blessed Sunday to you, Gillena.

This is a nice post, Gillena. I like the Haiku, but for you and me this won't be true come Autumn, in Gulf Coast Texas possibly by mid November, likely in December. I think you have green year round.
ReplyDeleteYour Haiku poem is nice too, I like best that she is up in the tree waiting for her male,
