whistles of a bird

sometimes the weight of
ruffles on a bodice front -
needs a bird's eye view

pandemic expectations -
wig worn sashaying
but always the mask

whistles of a bird -
those in the cages will sing
to moon of freedom

  8. Sometimes we find that the cage is the one we've built for ourselves. We sing to the moon of freedom -- perhaps the moon echoes, "Step out..." Thought-provoking poetry.

  10. I'm liking this, Gillena, good message.
    It reminded me of a comment I received on my YouTube chastising me about liking the caging of a monkey. I was in Guatamala and the aged monkey was outside our hotel.

  11. I've never come across a situation to need to remove my mask. I've noticed usual checks of things skipped though. Some minor (handing me library books out the door without seeing it's really me and without a card)or more major, which happened yesterday. I forget what it was, but I was surprised!
    I like the troiku form. You did it very nicely.
