Oh yes, all these small accommodations can become so tricky – and yet we must do the best we can.

Your poem speaks of our times. But I hope you're keeping well and celebrating your birthday month, regardless.

Sometimes we find that the cage is the one we've built for ourselves. We sing to the moon of freedom -- perhaps the moon echoes, "Step out..." Thought-provoking poetry.

I'm liking this, Gillena, good message.
ReplyDeleteIt reminded me of a comment I received on my YouTube chastising me about liking the caging of a monkey. I was in Guatamala and the aged monkey was outside our hotel.
On YouTube I am Jim1Jim1.

Happy you dropped by Jim

I've never come across a situation to need to remove my mask. I've noticed usual checks of things skipped though. Some minor (handing me library books out the door without seeing it's really me and without a card)or more major, which happened yesterday. I forget what it was, but I was surprised!
ReplyDeleteI like the troiku form. You did it very nicely.
Thanks for your appreciation Lisa

I love your exploration of pandemic expectations....and the whistling bird.
ReplyDeleteMay these constraints loosen for us all in the near future. I enjoyed your musical selection today. I see John Batiste every night I watch Stephen Colbert's show.
ReplyDeleteI think I hear whistling of expectations. Have a wonderful Sunday, always wearing the mask here or you won't get into any place of business.
