Nice haiku! And thank you for the background about Rosa Parks. I'm sure that's a name and event everyone knows (or should); it was good to get the added details.

There are children on my street who ride the bus to school ... when it comes down our street and stops to pick them up, my heart skips a beat remembering all those days so many years ago when it was my children. Thanks for the sweet reminder, Gillena.

It certainly had taken a lot of sacrifices and courage for Miss Parks to bring 'colour' to the fore during her time.

After reading about Rosa Parks, your haiku brings warmth to my heart. Because I can see all those children--all of them!--getting in the same bus, sitting wherever, arriving on time.
ReplyDeleteThis was lovely, Gillena.
