2950

Thomas Edison (February 11, 1847 – October 18, 1931) was a pioneer in innumerable ways. He invented the phonograph, the motion picture camera, and the light bulb; ran a successful business and research laboratory, was a tough (and eccentric) job interviewer, had his last breath collected by pal Henry Ford, and—perhaps most notably—recorded the world's first cat video. We are forever indebted.

  16. Your 13 is great for me. Thank you for the prompt tribute to Thomas E, I hadn't thought of him for a long time. And I'm not sure that I ever knew he was responsible for motion pictures. Do you remember those little flip books? We let the corners flip out from our fingers and we saw motion. I wish I had one now.
