Friday Writings #37.Stay Happy And Alive.

Growing up there were always dogs in our family. But as an adult I never wanted pets. I always tell people: children and plants I am happiest with.
So yesterday i went to the NALIS library in Port of Spain to read my book 'The Naughty Angel' and conduct a haiku workshop with a group of children, who were happy to listen and to participate. There was joy shared.

masked faces listen -
a story read aloud to
eager ears and minds

its question time now -
hands shoot up everyone wants
to give an answer

let's write a haiku -
Enough words on the white board
poems abstracted

  2. Nice colored pencil art Gillena. I am terrible with colored pencils so it is good to see someone who can actually use them. Have a great weekend. And I don't see your linky to link up either. hugs-Erika
