This is awesome art, Gillena and I can see faces in your patterns as well as the lovely face at the end ... I am assuming it is you (tell me if I am wrong :) OMG the drums in your music. I am not sure my eardrums would survive a close encounter with this music, but it sure is fun from this distance. Interesting bananas ... called figs? Anyway, I would love to know how you cook with them. Happy Spring, Gillena ...

Sorry I'm so late visiting. Still taking care of two homes, four cats, four sandboxes, and four food bowls, as well as four demanding cats, two of which don't like sharing me.
ReplyDeleteFirst, congratulations on being published. Quite an honor, indeed. Second, thanks for your amazing art you recycled using Bleubeard's and my theme at Art Journal Journey. Third, my steel drum friend Joseph Peck (see my right sidebar) played in one of those carnivals, but in 1994. He moved to Trinidad for six months after graduating college to practice with and eventually play with a group that took second place. His drums of choice are double seconds, but he owns a set of all drums, including all those heavy basses.
Fantastic. Let the music live on.
