Linking today to Sunday Whirl Wordle #106

Thin slices of rain, through transparent spectacles,
nothing uncommon, nothing rare, interludes a sun blast; harrowing the backs of farmers bent, Whose marrow capsules,
the genes of forefather's sweat, that sun, given to light days, will either nurture or parch the drought of split gardens. Borrow from the cumulus a hiding place of sojourn. Grubs wriggle through sodden earth, sieving a culture of dreams of becoming. That sun saw the umbrellas, blossoming a pedestrian march; and swore an oath just to shine, to be, to meander, through slivers of raindrops, sketching rainbows in puddles. My guess, your guess, of universal tomorrows etched.

So much rain last night; i really didn't expect to wake up to a dry Sunday morning in which i could go to church; just saying

Sunday savvy...
April rain filling the night
my dreams washed away

Those lines that I before have writ do lie,
Even those that said I could not love you dearer,
Yet then my judgment knew no reason why,
My most full flame should afterwards burn clearer,
But reckoning time, whose millioned accidents
Creep in 'twixt vows, and change decrees of kings,
Tan sacred beauty, blunt the sharp'st intents,
Divert strong minds to the course of alt'ring things:
Alas why fearing of time's tyranny,
Might I not then say 'Now I love you best,'
When I was certain o'er incertainty,
Crowning the present, doubting of the rest?
Love is a babe, then might I not say so
To give full growth to that which still doth grow.

A Clear Midnight
THIS is thy hour O Soul, thy free flight into the wordless,
Away from books, away from art, the day erased, the lesson done,
Thee fully forth emerging, silent, gazing, pondering the themes thou
lovest best.
Night, sleep, and the stars.
--Walt Whitman, (1819 - 1892)

Ixora
The ixora blooms drink to their delight,
From the wetness in seasons of the rain;
Their little umbrella faces bereft of strain,
Resplendent in interludes of sunlight;
I linger a while to write, a tribute if i might,
To your now iterative state, and feign
Jealousy, to compliment your splendor again;
Radiant reds, oranges, and yellows bright,
A common place blooming, a beautiful sight;
No place in legendary courts to regain,
For never have you lost your plebeian reign;
A threadbare glory remains your right;
Seen here and there never out of sight;
Still my delight, beautiful ixora you remain

Linking today to Sunday Whirl Wordle #104; and Sunday In My City

Sigh! another Sunday, another week has come and gone. How quickly the days unwind; January, February, March. Now, April The Bold, stands at the threshold; a victor's sword in hand. Gosh! rain showers drizzle, from billows of clouds, seated on skeptical mountain tops. Again! a palette of hues, yellows, golds, pinks; control the trodden paths. Low! as often as blossoms might, saturate the feet of ancients; slight breezes canvas, an Easter sight.

just saying...
On Easter Monday, Yanda (my daughter), took me to see 'Oz The Great And Powerful'; its a 2013 take of the old classic movie, 'The Wizard of Oz'; i remember taking Yanda, then a little bitty girl, to see 'The Wizard of Oz', so many years ago; remarkable turn around,

exalt in alleluias...
for again the stone
