IN THE WILDS
there are no answers
when at the edge of complex
pale moons
the forest tracks
lie in the face of mists
still he files pass
this strange lizard
in a class of his own
a mess of guesses
who he be or should be
gas lamps have their place in the wilds

Your initial stanza is stunning...it sets me thinking. Then you bring in that lizard. Interesting piece, with much to consider. Nice sounds at play in this one.
ReplyDeleteAnd what, exactly, is the place of gas lamps in the wild? :)
