image Peter Gertner - Crucifixion from google dot com

I thirst - is what was said by him
Mighty enough, waters to part
Holy though earthbound walking
Messianic mission ever fulfilled

rain drops remain the sickle moon 's thirst for wholeness again

thirsting awhile -
the liquid yearns of my soul
meanders

another hot day
my thirst surrendered -
froth of golden beer

There once was an aunt named Quin
Who drank till her antennas grew thin
Of honey so sweet
And curds so meek
Her thirst for a waistline so slim

IXORA
The ixora blooms drink to their delight,
From the wettness in seasons of the rain;
Their little umbrella faces bereft of strain,
Resplendent in interludes of sunlight;
I linger a while to write, a tribute if i might,
To your now iterative state, and feign
Jealousy, to compliment your splendor again;
Radiant reds, oranges, and yellows bright,
A common place blooming, a beautiful sight;
No place in legendary courts to regain,
For never have you lost your plebeian reign;
A threadbare glory remains your right;
Seen here and there never out of sight;
Still my delight, beautiful ixora you remain

  36. Such a kaleidoscope. Auntie Quinn made me LOLOL several times. I like how you have spanned various poetry writing styles here with differing rhythms and melodic phrase. Nicely done. The limericky Quinn was my favourite.
