photo of my grand daughter Zuri, taken in April, she will be two in October.
Today i'm thinking: grand child, au gratin, and Brasilia. I'm always happy when she visits, she makes my day brighter.
she runs with the wind
rippling banana fronds -
Sunday savvy
SIMPLE GESTURE
ghosts of futures
image the blood of ragged -
rain drops in a drought
a candle struggles
with the flame of bush fires
on the hill sides
the caped crusader
blind sighted raises him arms -
a simple gesture
who will summon
the rain; a mission
beyond his measure

ReplyDeleteYou have an adorable and beautiful grandbaby!!!! Love the image of her running with the wind.
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought of Trinidad and Tobago having bushfires (not like Australia). Here the native vegetation doesn't suffer so much as introduced species.
ReplyDeleteHow right you are about a little one's visit. It is as though looking at them you see the meaning of life.
__Wow, Zuri has such a grand and beautiful smile; some childish mischief is lingering behind those eyes! Great! _m
