from grocery store lanes

Happy Pentecost Sunday. Here, in Trinidad and Tobago, we buy Strawberries at the grocery stores, they are not grown in our clime.

  10. Sad that strawberries don't grow in your climate there, but I would guess you do have other very delicious fruits that probably don't grow here. It all equals out, I guess. Smiles.

  19. Strawberries always seem to growing somewhere in Australia so they are rarely out of the shops. One of the advantages of living in the "Big Country"!

  22. Aren't those strawberries...all neatly wrapped with the light shining off the plastic....glorious and tempting? Mmm. I can't wait to go buy some myself :-)

  23. strawberries are not available in our place though we get plenty of food with strawberry flavor but not the fruit...last year one of my colleagues planted strawberry but mosquitoes played havoc with it...we're waiting this season...lets see what happens..your poem makes me long for those luscious items :)

  32. There is a lot of joy here...i too love seeing the new fruits arrive...we are starting to have strawberries here too - they are lovely!

  33. Strawberries grow here in Florida, but they are ripe in February and March ... Now it is too hot and they are gone until next year. But when we travel to Oregon on the pacific coast in June they will just be getting ripe there. So we wait!
