[my mother in her younger phase]

Happy Birthday to my mother [Mrs Mary Mitchell] who is 86 today; i remember as a child growing up that her favourite flower was Carnation. I don't think it is her favourite flower now though. [note to self. i must ask her]

    Happy birthday to your mother. I see the resemblance. Carnations are my favorite flower. They don't have as strong a frangrance as they used to unfornately. I think flowers are bred for their lasting ability, not for fragrance these days.
