without his sweet song
this wooded bird clings to blood
of wastelands bleeding

such heartless yearnings for stone
cringe in fresh baked bread

wild wind stares aghast
frozen in the midst of toil
unholy dramas

I have, as many i’m sure, associated the holly with Christmas. And then again, three are those who say every day should be Christmas. So with no hesitation or qualms i write in response to Kristjaan’s prompt today
Carpe Diem #995 Holly

Symbolic Messages from the Holly
Let your beauty shine within even in times of dormancy
Rule the day, and let your generosity be your legacy
The energy of life is ever-present

Today, the first Sunday in July, meets Trinidad and Tobago in mourning at the passing of a Prime Minister: Patrick Manning (August 17, 1946 - July 2, 2016). The Honorable Patrick Manning served as Prime Minister from 1991 to 1995 and again 2001 to 2010.
