[black ink sketch on white drawing  paper, digital filters added for background tones]

these pandemic days
think of the horses clopping
through the crowded streets

remember children
in costumes so fantastic
dancing in the street

in such crowded scenes
the horses teeth could be seen
their quiet laughter

  1. I'll take a laughing horse any day over a braying ass (like the one we still have in our White House).

  15. Couriously I can remember horses pulling delivery vans during and after WW2 in Britain. It was good when the horse left behind a liitle present from his behind in the street and was sent by Mum to collect it to help fertilize the garden!
