yellow butterfly

passing  yellow ixoras

yesterday's  watching

of its freedom to pass by

not stopping for a visit

today  writing of

that butterfly passing by

its yellow colour

observation clings

to the chance of being here

not somewhere else

where no flowers are blooming

no yellow butterflies fly

coincidence lurks

In the yellow sameness of

sunshine and flowers

  12. I love the way yellow shines brightly throughout your poem,
Gillena, and the yellow liminal space in the lines:
    ‘coincidence lurks
    In the yellow sameness of
    sunshine and flowers’.

  13. Missing butterflies make us wonder, they can fly across the Gulf of Mexico to us, but after they lay eggs they die. Who teaches the baby butterfly after being larva where to go next?
