Love the expansion of the troiku which feels like it echoes the accordion. Always glad to land here on a Sunday! :)

"Bringing home the bacon" ... a vintage phrase that still has meaning. I love your "take" on the muse ... and I'll join you in looking forward to Paris in 2024!

Will the pandemic be over by then? Goodness I hope so, but it's certainly not a given.

I wonder if 4 (or will it be 3?) years from now, the muffled cheers will be naked again...
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the troiku, especially the last stanza (which brings my Piano Man to mind).
Happy Sunday, Gillena.

The Olympics are always a delight to watch, even though this year I didn't watch as much. Hopefully by 2024 we shall be masked no more.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your troiku, too. It oozes romance like a place I'd love to travel to. :)

I like the troiku form and you use it well here. I also love your comment:
ReplyDelete"Thank God for the grace of poetry." Where would we be without it.

Perfect Troiku for me, Gillena. I need to write another of those, soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat is there to cry about? The terrible situations in Haiti and Afghanistan.
Thank you for peeking in on me, I always enjoy your visits. :)
