    The pink on that leaf is so striking!
    There are multitudes of doves, sparrows, and the occasional finch in the otherwise quite unattractive Siberian elm outside my bedroom window. Unfortunately, I fear that they are conspiring to poop on my car.

    with our summer monsoons this has been the year of doves! three families have hatched and grown beneath the shelter of the oaks. from my window i have witnessed such tender mothering. birds will always be a symbol of hope and comfort to my heart.
