A LADYBUG LEGEND
... As legend has it, in the Middle Ages, farmers were worried that their crops would be destroyed by insects, so they prayed to the Virgin Mary for help.
Red and black beetles soon appeared to feast upon the bothersome insects and the people began calling the helpers "The Beetle of Our Lady." It is said that the beetles' red wings represent the red cloak Mary is often pictured wearing in biblical paintings, and the spots are representative of the seven joys and seven sorrows of the Virgin more here

November is the month of the Pleiades reaching its highest spot in the sky on or around the 21st of the month. Also there are reports of Comet Erasumus having appeared this November after 2500 years.
