Friday's Ramble

Today's post should really be titled 'Little Aspects Of Life I Vehemently Refuse to Let Go Of'

There is no flower that has been revered and celebrated as much as the rose. As a source of inspiration to people throughout history, roses are the definitive symbol for love and appreciation...Red roses are the traditional symbol for love and romance, and a time-honored way to say "I love you." The red rose has long symbolized beauty and perfection. A bouquet of red roses is the perfect way to express your deep feelings for someone special...

One week ago i quietly contemplated an anniversary of my marrige to Anthony Cox; Wow; what can i say i got married to the only person i wanted to spend an entire lifetime with; (turns out however, i'm living alone); there is the song which goes 'I Beg Your Pardon I Never Promised You A Rose Garden' - guess i was too immature to realise that his gifts of rose buds were gifts of rose buds

Still i'm thankful for quality time, for growth to today and promises the unfolding universe holds for me for tomorrow; and to all you women out there, my husband is my husband

This is so poignant, Gillena❤️💖 Sometimes we come across people in our lives who touch us for briefest of moments and fade away as though a dream. You're a beautiful, strong woman, and need not depend upon anyone else. We all love you very much! Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support.❤️💖

Lots of love,
Sanaa

How sad it is when the promise of the rose is broken, but still, the beginning is remembered. I empathize with your writing today and know the feeling well. I especially like your haiku, very appropriate. I wish you joy :-)

I like wild roses. The ones with only a few petals, with thorns... the one that look show the work of Nature without too much interference from the hand of man. I feel that the "new" roses, the ones grown for beauty alone (so change that they can even reproduce naturally), I feel those roses are a bit of a lie. Or a lot of a lie. Perhaps, that's the reason I prefer wild roses and wild daisies.

How true it seems that men are from Mars and women are from Venus. We see and think differently and often have different goals. It is good you can talk about it and show you can be yourself and be satisfied with the life you have made for you and your family.

I do love the scent of roses, but in moderation. All the time would be too much for my nose to handle.
