That winter, when the cold winds, so fierce, so real, so new, blows me into an almost curve. There i am feeling new feelings, feelings without names, weird howlings, my heart never knew existed. The kind i had up till then, been reading about in books, called novels. Reading is a good pasttime i'm always been told. Yet this wind is more like a metaphor, unreal, something representing something else.
[the prompt quote]
“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” - Lewis Caroll
Carpe Diem #1037 pleasure
"There is pleasure in the pathless woods, there is rapture in the lonely shore, there is society where none intrudes, by the deep sea, and music in its roar; I love not Man the less, but Nature more." - Lord Byron [Quote prompted by Kristjaan]
