Carpe Diem Tan Renga Challenge #85, "the ancient woman"

the ancient woman

an event to remember

like a young girl she stands
strong in the wind, the old sakura
(Chèvrefeuille)

I talked to a woman yesterday who said that in her family, girls weren't allowed to climb trees. . . that was her brother's prerogative. I hope she'll be a tree climbing wise woman elder!

This evokes a lot for me Gillena... I see a whole story unfolding from these small words hanging high in the old fruit tree...
