labels jostle attention
colours seek to please

glimpse of strawberries -
light bounces off clear plastic

What a luscious red those strawberries!

Sad that strawberries don't grow in your climate there, but I would guess you do have other very delicious fruits that probably don't grow here. It all equals out, I guess. Smiles.

Strawberries always seem to growing somewhere in Australia so they are rarely out of the shops. One of the advantages of living in the "Big Country"!

I bought some big, organic strawberries. Yesterday. Yum.
Love the cheerfulness you bring in you writing. Thank you Gillena and I hope you had a great day.

I also had strawberries from the store, boxed in plastic. How could I pass them by!?

Aren't those strawberries...all neatly wrapped with the light shining off the plastic....glorious and tempting? Mmm. I can't wait to go buy some myself :-)

strawberries are not available in our place though we get plenty of food with strawberry flavor but not the fruit...last year one of my colleagues planted strawberry but mosquitoes played havoc with it...we're waiting this season...lets see what happens..your poem makes me long for those luscious items :)

Strawberries grow here in Florida, but they are ripe in February and March ... Now it is too hot and they are gone until next year. But when we travel to Oregon on the pacific coast in June they will just be getting ripe there. So we wait!

I scrolled around your blog and enjoyed your poetry and pictures ... A lovely first visit to you and beautiful Trinidad!
