In the tropics, here in Trinidad, there is no winter or cold phases of the year, so the kigo "Joy of living"; i accepted, more so as a prompt for the celebratory aspect of our welcoming a new calendar year

__My opinions are so often deemed incorrect, but in Trinidad / Tobago, I believe the 'dry season' has begun; perhaps a kigo similar to, but far less rigid than our "fall" season. _m

Yes January to June/July is considered our Dry Season, the next cultural season after Christmas/New Years is Carnival
