behind the curtain
a play of light and shadows -
silence of windchimes
Today, the first Sunday in July, meets Trinidad and Tobago in mourning at the passing of a Prime Minister: Patrick Manning (August 17, 1946 - July 2, 2016). The Honorable Patrick Manning served as Prime Minister from 1991 to 1995 and again 2001 to 2010.

I am so sorry for your loss Gillena.. he was a fine Prime Minister.. May he rest in peace. Amen.
Your poem is so apt in the light of the death of a statesman. May his memory live on.
Wind chimes do have an air of silence even though they make noise - a kind of respectful chime - as is warranted here
Stillness in play--what an apt image for sorrow.
Wind chimes always make me feel reflective. My respects.

It is lovely when a country has a leader so revered. He will be missed, but his contribution will live on.

That's a poignant tribute Gillena. The silence of windchimes says it all
A beautiful and haunting haiku.
It is good to hear that you had a long serving prime minister that served his country so well over a number of years. What a great tribute this is Gillena.
A great tribute to your leader..." silent windchimes" very poignant image.
A lovely tribute to your leader...my thoughts and prayers are with you and your country.
Gillena art and love is your blog, I'm back full time on PhotographL and my shop Cash and Catch L although not quite ready because I'm changing the format, and hey no problem with Window Shopping, just happy to be back, you all mean so much to me, and a car can't fill that empty spot inside my heart, bless you, always
May his soul rest in peace.
