mockingbirds flutter
from the gate to the neem tree
ever so playful

the swaying neem leaves -
a mockingbird has sat in
and is now long gone

picking spanish thyme
in the afternoon coolness
the mocking bird's skip

evening sun
mockingbird next to

tropical mockingbird
under overcast clouds
a new week ensues

Blog hopping today at
Carpe Diem Special (2nd guest) Kala Ramesh's "sunbirds peck"

the tumbling river notes . . .

in the chapel
the murmured prayers resonate
in tune with the birds

Mockingbirds are delightful singers, I'm so happy to have them in my neighborhood, too. Thanks for celebrating them today.
