After watching a few videos,i used a slice of lemon loaf to try this egg in bread recipe. i did not cut ou a round center.

I have fun with your smilling Baguette.
I like that your recipe for bread includes a smile ... always a good way to start a day. The toast and egg is one of my quick easy breakfasts that I have several times a week, though like you, I don't cut a hole in the bread and I use whole wheat instead of white bread. I soft cook the egg in the microwave, toast the bread in the toaster, butter and add the egg. Easy, peasy and delicious. To each his own, right Gillena?
