I enjoyed reading through your 12 Days of Christmas series. It's interesting to see haiku from such diverse writers all in one place. Nicely done everyone!

Imporvement? Yes, but... culture and politics and evolution improve us all the time, but all are ultimately flawed and equally liable to send us hurtling backwards. Human life is too contradictory and complex to always be pointing in the direction of good or better and we disagree about what that means.

I was just pointing out that Judas was also faithfull, as he was doing a necessary act (which Jesus must have known about beforehand) in order to meet the foretold sacrifice of Jesus, upon which the entire Christian faith is based. Judas is interesting, and the modern day equivalent is Professor Snape in the Harry Potter books who kills Professor Dumbledore on his (secret) orders. Both are highly compromised, but acting in accordance to the desires of the condemned.

In contributing here I've had to do a bit of researh into each day's meaning and thank Gillena for the opportunity. Sorry if I've offended anyone.

Gillena, again with your

dear Comrade...it was not about offence, and I got the Christian message....

perhaps, i may make it clear, my Father was an athiest and a true communist (a comrade in his circle) as far as I know him and had one of the blessed lives, -- which made me think quite a bit about what God wants from man....and I thought it was Godliness, seen as selflessness, that He seeks,

BUT, In the ultimate analysis, who is so selfless as to ignore his/her self...everyone of us has his/her flaws....yet, we are forgiven most of the time -- I like to "believe" improvement is possible....

was just sharing my thought and asking your view....I agree i didn't express the thought fully...thought it may be too long and will be taken very seriously -- that was just a prompt to know your thought...Not out of feeling offended,

thanks Gillena for the space for this chat :)
