Hoarding Chocolates - 1

My paternal grandmother, Veronica Mitchell(whom we fondly called Dee)(many years deceased), used to grind cocoa beans which she would shape into cocoa logs and balls, to be used for making hot chocolate. Dee sold them, along with herbs and spices in the old Chaguanas market revisit Dee

I always feel so many things with your posts, a sense of history that I wish I had but my parent moved us away from family, and both are dead so I miss it.....I love yout posts

Thanks for sharing this memory, Gillena, it reminded me of my mother stuffing sausage casings. I head to the supermarket for sausages--I wonder if my kids will have supermarket memories thirty years from now?

I look forward to more chocolate!
