i am poor in responding to news of death -- either goes numb, or say stupid things like that - to get the minds out of it is my first lookout - sometimes i even, wonder why i do that...perhaps a mourning in itself -- can't just cry over death,
but there's this image from old Enlish movie of an old lady with yellow umbrella staying back in the rain at the cemetery after all have left -- can't remember the name of the movie-- very old,
Gillena, what a beautiful compassionate woman you are for you to create this haiga after singing at a funeral. I would have cried my eyes out afterwards. I guess I don't handle death very well.
Yesterday, one of my high school friend's mother died. I imagine she was crying from grief. Okay, I didn't look at this when it was posted, but it's so relevant.
